Can you believe it's that time of year already? 2015 came in as swiftly as it seems to be leaving us. This weekend for us consisted of an afternoon at Williamson's Pumpkin Paradise. This little nugget is tucked away outside Des Moines, and was just the right size for the bunch of us to go in and get to experience all of the goodies it had to offer, without having to navigate large crowds of people.
These past few weeks have been long, and naturally I have been burying myself in my work. Outside of that, I have had little motivation to do much of anything else. Now, don't get me wrong, I take pride in my work. I want to do it well, and the "Responsibility" side of me (thank you, StrengthsFinder) wants to do it all well, right now. Literally all of it, now.
"There will always be more to do." This has been my mantra lately. There are days I find that I literally have to repeat this to myself 5, 10, 15 times. It's so easy to get overwhelmed and wrapped up in all that we have going on throughout our days, but even if we power through and wipe our plate clean of whatever filled it previously we find that something else just as quickly takes it's place.

So make time. Make time for the little things. Make time for the big things. Make time to do the things that feed your soul and the things that feed other people's souls and fill their hearts. There will always be more to do. Don't let it consume you.
Years from now I hope to look back and see that I chose to make time for the one's that matter most. I hope to be able to reflect and see a woman that chose to nourish her spirit by spending time doing things for myself and investing in those around me.
Today I'm thankful that I chose to make time.
